All of our ducks in a row

It's hard to believe that Oliver is turning one this month.

To celebrate this milestone,
we will be heading back to our hometown...

...and that is where we will have...

 The Rubber Duck Potluck!

I've been working on the invitations these past few days.

It's turning out to be quite the ambitious project!

I didn't want to use elaborate or expensive materials since most people will end up throwing them away, which is a good thing.

-  I love to get rid of clutter too!

So I'm creating them entirely out of coloured card stock...
and using a lot of tools to make it happen.

Just in case you're thinking of doing something similar,
here's a list of what I am using...

Materials
  • card stock
  • envelopes

Tools
  • scissors
  • rotary cutter
  • straight edge
  • cutting mat
  • pencil & markers
  • alphabet stamps & ink pad
  • glue stick
  • hole punch
  • husband to operate hole punch

Here are a few of my favourite snapshots of the process so far...

Hopefully another day or two and they'll be finished.

Then on to the next project...

...making a cake look like a duck.

Thanks for stopping in.

  1. I've been living with Parkinson’s for years, and while medications helped for a while, the symptoms always came back sometimes even worse.
Out of curiosity (and a bit of desperation), I tried an herbal program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. I was skeptical, but around four months in, I noticed real changes: fewer tremors, less stiffness, better sleep, and more control over my movements.
It wasn’t a quick fix, but the steady progress gave me hope and results. I feel more like myself again.
If you’re exploring natural ways to manage Parkinson’s, this might be worth looking into. It’s made a big difference in my life.
